Ghuggi’s first job, at around 15 years of age, was as a daily-wage clerk at the Kartarpur Sahib Tehsil, writing Bayana agreements for property buyers and sellers. He earned Rs. 5 to 10 per day – and would give the money to his father, whose business was going through serious financial difficulties at the time.
